We contacted Zonelife early this year because the thought of going through another summer without air-conditioning was hard to face. Also, we were really wanting to reduce both our carbon footprint and our electricity bill by having an alternative to baseboard heating throughout our house. We had hired another company about a year and a half prior to our relationship with Zonelife and, after months of waiting for a ductwork design to be done, we were told by that company that it was just not possible to have ductwork installed in our rather uniquely designed house. Needless to say we found this very frustrating and disappointing and, as a result, it was with some trepidation that we decided to contact another company to inquire about converting our home from electric baseboards to forced air. It is very fortunate for us that we found Zonelife because right from the beginning we were told that not only would it be possible to install ductwork along with a furnace and air-conditioning, but that they could do the work for us. In addition, they put us in touch with an insulation company that could reinsulate our house in order to make the new heating and cooling system more efficient.
So far we have been extremely pleased with the work that was done in our home. In particular, these last few July days have been extremely hot but you would never know it if you were sitting inside our house. The humidity and sweltering heat we dealt with in our house last summer is simply not an issue for us this year. Over the last few days and particularly today, which is apparently one of the hottest days on record, we have often commented how nice it is to come inside the house to a wonderfully comfortable and cool environment. In fact, it is hard to imagine how we would have dealt with today's heat without the air-conditioning, other than hanging out at a local mall or in a movie theatre! We are looking forward to experiencing the heating system in the winter as well and given how comfortable the house is with air-conditioning we are fully confident that it will be very cozy in the winter months ahead.
On a more personal note, Steve, Mike and Paul and everyone else we have dealt with through Zonelife have been extremely helpful, enthusiastic and pleasant to deal with.

At the same time Zonelife was integrating the Premium Geo unit in our home we were building an indoor pool addition. The pool is being marketed at the "Greenest Pool in Canada." Steve integrated some wildly innovative concepts to make this happen. There are several things that Steve has done on the pool project that are "first ever's" in Canada.

I live in a rural area with oil heating in my home and hated watching the cost of oil go up so I looked around for other ways to heat my home and found Zonelife. They came by to asses my home and property and did a heat-loss/heat-gain test to find out if geothermal was the right match and it was.
I had gotten quotes from other installers but the way Zonelife quoted was for trenches 8 feet deep which exceeded the depth other contractors were willing to go. They were also able to place the header right where I wanted it, used more geo loops and they modified my ductwork for the best air flow.
Topping it all off, I didn't just get heating, I got geothermal heating and cooling which I didn't have at all before.

Zonelife's expert team installed our geothermal system. We never knew our heating and cooling system could be so quiet! It keeps the house at a nice, even temperature, and the heat pump fits right where the old furnace was with very little effort to install. We are seeing the huge cost savings from having this system.
